So was Hillary, and Biden’s numbers have dropped and will continue to drop. He had a huge lead a month ago. Now they are in a statistical dead heat.
Didn’t biden and Hillary have the same numbers at the same point in their campaigns too?

Thank you.
Very interesting. I have only just started watching the polls for this thing.
Trump seems slightly ahead with the bookies, but a lot can change in a couple of months.

I don’t think the polls can be trusted.

Trump is doing a good job with the economy, which is probably the biggest factor, and he’s picked up a lot of support from blacks and latinos. He’s got a solid record of accomplishments he can run on now, and as soon as he goes head to head with Biden at a debate, it’s game over for the Democrats.

Yesterday I happened to have a conversation with a lesbian and a young black woman (as one does), both from California, and while they don’t like Trump, they both said that the Democrats have completely lost their support, and they don’t trust the mainstream media any longer, either. This is not good news for the Democrats, and it’s only going to get worse for them.

This is why that false story of Trump calling dead veterans “losers” came out yesterday. Look for more anonymously sourced false stories in the weeks remaining before the election, as the Democrats and the media desperately throw what’s left of their dignity and credibility on the fire in the hopes that something will damage Trump.

My sense is that the Democrats are just making their entire party as unpopular as Hillary was in 2016, and they can expect to lose again because of it.

I don't trust polls either, but you rarely find a poor bookie.

I totally lost track of all the news a couple of months ago. Trying to do a quick catch up before I go off again.
I need to find out who this biden chatacter is.

From what you say it seems a bit like our last election. Corbyn was too left for the ordinary leftists. Many were so alienated they voted Tory.
I just abstained. I wanted to spoil my ballot paper by writing something witty and meaningful on it. but it was raining so I didn't bother.
So Boris won it.

If Biden wins do you think it will be all change? green new deal, universal income etc? Or just more of the same with a red veneer?

That is a very good comparison, and I think that’s what’s going to happen.

I was replying to lisa.
She says she found it funny, which is good, cos I wondered if she was some kind of bigot.
Glad to be proved wrong.
I know, I was trying to clear up any confusion over my post. I don’t think Lisa was being bigoted in her reply. :)

Polls can't be trusted. We shouldn't trust every report about the economy either. Today, for example, there was a better than expected job and unemployment report, while the stock market continued to crash. Furthermore, it was also reported today that a lot of the jobs created are temporary government census jobs. There's also been talk of a "K" shaped recovery. Of course, I laughed and said yeah, maybe it's a K shaped recovery if the K is falling over.

Idk why the stock market got hammered. But the reality is it can happen at any time. That's why valuations are called "bubbles".

The stock market is crashing? Tech stocks took a hit and erased some recent gains, but everything else is steady, and the market is up almost 30% on the year, and almost 75% from it’s lowest point in March.

That should have been blue veneer.

Your colours are the other way round to us.

Our right wing is blue, our left wing red...
so confusing...

Yeah, an 807 point drop is not a crash at all. And everything was down. From Crypto to Ford to Starbucks. But yeah you are sort of right, in that tech stocks got hurt the most.
