UK government ‘quietly’ extends local authorities’ lockdown powers in England until July 17 – media
The British government has extended the lockdown powers of local officials in England until mid-July, the Telegraph has reported. A Tory MP told the paper the change was “little noticed” at the time.

The regulation that allows local authorities to close pubs, restaurants, shops, and public spaces was due to expire last week, but it was extended earlier this month until July 17, according to a report in the Telegraph.

A Department of Health source told the paper that MPs had voted for the extension. “As we are currently in a national lockdown it was necessary to renew the regulations,” the source said, which means that the rules have been “automatically extended for another six months.”

Czech restaurants & pubs open in defiance of Covid-19 rules, owners to launch ‘political movement’ to circumvent restrictions
Hundreds of restaurants and pubs have re-opened across the Czech Republic, defying the enduring coronavirus restrictions. The venues have been closed for months and owners say the restrictions have failed to improve the situation.

The protest kicked off on Saturday, with hundreds of restaurants and pubs re-opening on Sunday as they joined the drive launched by the Chcipl PES (Dog is dead) movement. The activist group was founded by several owners of entertainment venues, and the name refers to the Czech system, PES (‘dog’ in Czech), which regulates the restrictions.

“We have been disappointed with the government for a long time and we want to show that it had chosen the wrong way,” Chcipl PES co-founder Jiri Janecek, a manager at the Maly Janek brewery and restaurant located in the town of Jince, told AFP.

If restaurants are COVID super spreaders, owners ask, where’s the proof?
Government data — which is incomplete or lacking in some cases — so far fail to show the extent of coronavirus risk at bars and restaurants.

Stay silent, please! France’s Academy of Medicine advises people to ‘avoid talking’ on public transport to stop spread of Covid-19

The French National Academy of Medicine has urged people to quit the chatter on packed buses and trains, where social distancing is impossible. The country’s health minister earlier asked everyone to wear better quality masks.

“The compulsory mask-wearing on public transport, where physical distance cannot be respected, must be paired with a very simple precaution: avoid talking and making phone calls,” the Academy said in a statement.

It reminds me of this sign:

There's a reason they don't want us talking in coffee shops, bars and restaurants....and buses.
I know. It's so we can all behave like good, little plebs and not discuss what's really going on. They're trying to condition the younger generations to literally be afraid of living. The comments in the story were quite funny also. They can try and suppress the truth all they want, however, it will inevitably be disclosed, if it hasn't already.

As an aside, I saw this older woman in my neighbourhood with the mask on her chin with two walking sticks walking about as I took my dog out earlier today. I saw that she stopped and stared at me, and I just smiled. Then she stared at the guy getting out of a car across the street without a mask on. She then turned around and stared at a guy riding a bike without a mask on too. I'm gathering this was her first outing in a long while because I've never seen her before, but my guess is she was assessing what we were all doing.

The point of my story is, as Rocco Galati has said, revolutions can be fought and won with 3% of the population going against the attempted coup.
