Most people wouldn't so it's easier to forget and write off the people that built America whereas America is keen to remember the holocaust. Ironically there were black soldiers in WW2 that were denied their GI bill benefits minus education when they came home.

I agree with you 100 % that slavery was worse than we can imagine and that we don’t learn enough about it. You live in America yes? Well America is guilty of it whereas we are not guilty of the Holocaust and we like to talk about it as we were the “heroes”. America does not deal with her sins.

The difference is no one pretends that slavery didn’t happen but there are millions who deny the Holocaust and it’s

I remember watching a documentary in college when the housing boom cause of the GI bill was in effect. In that documentary they said that whenever an african american would move in to the suburbs that property value would decline or families would move. We have a lot of bad history

Still in living memory. You do know that the people who push the “it’s da j00s” are the same people that lynched your people, the same people who call murderer cops heroes and would do it again if they came to power. If the Nazis won there would be either slavery again or no black people living.

It's worse for your aggressors to tell you that everything wasn't that bad, to move on, to take accountability for inherited trauma they caused. To have have everything taken and when you create it gets taken and be systemically punished and demoralized on every level. The holocaust doesn't compare in my opinion

I don’t know what is “worse” and at that level of atrocity is there even really a difference?

There was no war for the genocides or the slavery but there was one for the Jews, America never paid reparations but Israel gets billions, the slaves didn't get a country for their suffering or creation. Saying it's just white supremacy is just dismissive because nothing will ever be done, countries won't be given, billions won't be shared.

There's a difference. Generations stood by and watched.

I don’t know what else to say other than the fact that the suffering of one group of people doesn’t negate the suffering of an other. Racism runs deep in society and to fall for even more racist propaganda, of which Holocaust denial and the protocols are, is not going to help anyone

And once again the greatest justification for slavery was the Bible. Most slaveholders considered themselves Christian.

I'm not denying the holocaust. I've never read the protocols. It's the willingness to react to one situation over another. We're made to remember the holocaust and how bad it was but slave movies don't even depict 10% and America says move on racism isn't that bad. Systematic destruction didn't happen but get over it.

Well I agree with you, I also agree that racism is still alive and well. My comrades know this too.

Doesn't mattered how they justified it people made the choice to let it happen.

@Damien50 It's because Jewish people are not black. America still remains wholeheartedly a racist country. Most Americans never really cared about helping the white, european Jews during the holocaust in the first place so they definitely would not care about black people... and they still don't.

This is what I'm saying lol. Christians will watch the world burn to justify Israel but where's the billions in aid or the prayers? They don't matter because they are black and because they aren't recognized as Jewish. No one gets upset when Europeans genocides colored people or occupy their land but Hitler fucked up in that had he been doing it to predominantly black people and had tried to conquer lands held by

Colored people I don't think there would have been a war. Americans were having picnics and barbeques and public lynchings still and there was no World war. There's a dichotomy where criticism of Israel or the holocaust is a sin but Hollywood can make inaccurate slave movies, steal, drug, and culturally manipulate blacks and there's nothing wrong with it. There's no injustice here move along.

You made an excellent point regarding the slave movies.... weather its exploration like Django or "serious" films such as Amistad & etc.... the results are the same. More imagery of black suffering and subservience, with none of the needed introspection as to how their plight occurred in the first place.

Also, for everyone whom keeps posting about how Israel isn't racist.... its SO racist that it does not just extend to outsiders.... they are notoriously racist against the Ethiopian and other black Jewish peoples there.

Well most don't know that the Africans were tricked into 'immigrating' to America only to be enslaved and at some point it went from being optional to other tribes capturing and selling Africans to the transatlantic slave trade. You won't see a movie about the several slave revolts, you won't see a movie that shows everything. People get upset over Roots, imagine how upset they would be to see African women hung up
