If you want to learn Christian theology go to Christians not their opponents.
Only strong swimmers should try to swim against strong tides (of human reasoning).
I applaud you for this. I don't care what God you believe in but the Trinity makes absolutely no sense and not believing in that is one step closer to God regardless of your religion.
I'm doing my own studying into Christianity and Judaism. I'm reading a Koren Tanakh to ascertain the truest translation of the Torah, and I'll be reading the Qur'an in time.
I'm not promoting Judaism here, but I listen to lectures on the YouTube channel 'Jews for Judaism'. Rabbi Skobac has some compelling explanations as to why the notion of the Trinity is not in line with true scripture.
It's not a biblical concept and brings about non biblical explanations to explain what isn't there. Jesus is first and foremost the literal word of God but the explanation of the Trinity is confusing and while the verses to show Christ relationship to God is there the Trinity is inadequate to explain it
I wish more Christians were honest like you. They pretend to know how the Trinity works and then when you question them on it they peddle backwards in confusion. Deep down I know they really can't wrap their head around it but long held beliefs die hard.
The explanation is just inadequate and wrong really. The word of God(Jesus) is God as much as our voice is us and there many verses to show the relationship between the two but when someone uses the Trinity definition to explain everything gets funky. I believe Jesus is the word of God but I'll never again say these are three entities that are separate yet equal because
