No offense but most people have a lot of contact with the opposite sex in all “Muslim “ countries except Saudi (but even that is changing) and India through school, uni, work, hobbies, on the streets or online. Having a boyfriend or girlfriend long before marriage is very common among younger people. You would be surprised to know that the what kind of wild private parties and drugs are thrown in some middle eastern countries where the regime is conservative but the general population isn’t (eg Iran Lebanon). The idea that muslim or Hindu girls only contact with the opposite sex is through kpop is just ridiculous. If someone abstains it it mostly because of choice nowadays not because of peer pressure which goes the other way. E.g. and no this picture is not taken in a western country.

This is very true I am a Muslim and I live in what is considered one of the more conservative Muslim countries and many girls and boys in my college were dating freely I have heard of 14-15 year olds who were having dates with their BFs and GFs and their families didn't know about it. Most who don't date or avoid mingling with the opposite sex do so because of their own choice the society is conservative but a lot of "Haram" activities are happening in underground areas

I grew up in the 90s and my friends weren't allowed male friends. There was an honor killing because a girl wanted too much freedom. I've seen the other side and it was ugly. I'm glad things are getting better but my friends didn't have those options. Even other girls in the school couldn't date or talk to boys. Every year girls would disappear starting in the 9th grade. I would find out they were married off to older men in their home country.

I'm glad things are getting better. I hated watching girls who liked school disappear and no one said anything. They were forced into arranged marriages. Those were usually Arab girls.

Countries like Turkey, Algeria, urban areas in India, Jordan etc have more freedom to date and have friends of the opposite sex. I apologize if my comment came across the wrong way. Have seen girls who weren't allowed to talk to any boys even as friends. I know it bugs them but they won't go against their family.
There are very religious families where talking to the opposite sex is seen as scandalous but there are also very liberal families here where girls are allowed to hang out with male friends and date before marriage. It's not allowed in our religion but just like Christians and Jews many don't follow all the teachings.

I don't hate liberals I like them better than the conservatives. I said libtards only because most kpop fans I have met will say they are Liberals but don't actually care about social issues most Liberal people stand for like there is no way a person who cares about women's rights would defend an A-hole like S3ungri or think Bt5 using a sex offender's song in their anthology album is ok
They don't care about feminism or human rights unless it's someone else's faves.

I wasn't really allowed to date in high school or middle school. A lot of religious families won't let their daughters date but are freer with sons, but not always. I'm sorry I didn't make the distinction between religious families and nonreligious ones. I see a lot of religious girls on btees and kpop videos and it's mind-blowing.

That exists too unfortunately, even to this day, but generally speaking it is definitely not the norm. Extremely conservative families from certain areas/ cultures may do it. More common in some countries than others. Certain arab countries are much more tribal and conservative (this is the people not just the govenments) as well some areas of eg. Pakistan and East Africa. Religious girls may be attracted to kpop because on first glance it appears more safe and less vulgar than western enterntainment. But the reality is very different as we know.

He sings about being thirsty for more money and fame, even when he knows that this is not everything in life , but he just wants it and will be reckless, meaning that he will do crazy things ,The important thing is to satisfy his greed, although he has already achieved a lot, but he doesn't feel satisfied And he wants more and more... And in order for a person to reach this degree of greed, he must be blind and dark within him, Whoever is like this regrets it after it is too late, you must not give in to your lusts and demons, or else the fall will be big and will never feel Real happiness because they think that they will be happy and comfortable when they reach the peak of wealth and fame And they sacrifice their soul and everything ,But in the end, they find themselves empty, for this he feels that he wants more despite all that he has reached, because it's not possible for the one who follows this path to feel full contentment and psychological comfort one day. In lyrics , it appears that he almost knows this, but despite that he chose the path of greed
The scene in which he was in the hospital, he was watching himself being brainwashed, he was wearing that thing over his head that symbolizes being a "jester" (the definition in the screenshots below) ,People don't know the truth about "j-hope" and think of him as the entertaining funny clown artist, They don't really understand the true meaning of his messages and work and think that this is just art and entertainment when it is deeper and darker than that, and that x-ray shows what's in Inside the puppet/jester's mind, he talks about his greed and his desire for prizes, fans, and Grammys, even if money is not everything, but he wants it more.fans believe his full innocence and they don't know the dark dead soul inside him that is all greed and this is what he breathes and Hoseok was outside watching all this meaning he sees the puppet that was made of him and the dark motives they plant in him to keep him with them and he knows everything but he Don't care that's now part of him

I am from a fairly conservative family I am not allowed to date and neither is my brother and I am fine with it because a lot of men here manipulate naive girls into marrying them but then they turn out to be A-holes who leave the girl helpless and scarred once they find a new lover. There are a lot of predators here and sometimes arranged marriage does end up being the safer option for girls. many of my friends are into kpop and kdramas it's normalized now even before kpop was popular girls would fawn over local male actors and musicians all the time.

Seriously. I wouldn't pay them any mind. Taek00kers are mad because Tae was hanging out with a nonbinary model who posted a picture of their knees the next day. They actually reached out for confirmation of their ship. Is Jk anywhere near Tae now that they're not forced to be around each other? That's all they need to know. The company, Bang, SK, Knetz, and Armys didn't stop him from having fun.
A huge chunk of the fans are shippers and they are usually the most obsessed analysing and follwing everything to see if their ship is true. I myself only got interested in Bt$ because of the ships, like literally. It was during a period of my life where things were tough and I needed distraction. Never liked the music and before this i had listened to kpop songs casually. Once they wake up from their delusions they will get bored and leave. Even if something did happen between the ship how can they look at teapot or Jimbo and think that those dudes are remotely faithful to anything? Bruuh…Teapot in the arms of a new man every time.

The reality is a lot different. I thought it was wholesome fun but it's worse than American pop in some cases. The way companies openly treat idols wouldn't be allowed here.

I had a Pakistani friend and her family was very conservative. My Indian friends had families that were cool but boys were off limits. I think it gets better with time. Some conservative Christians won't allow their daughters to date and arrange their marriage but it's not that well-known. Thank you for taking the time to explain things to me.

Hi again - respectfully. I have lived in India. And the Hindu girls date freely. It's not just the westernized ones. Arranged marriages are still pretty popular, but it's usually only when the girl and guy actually like each other. The families spend a lot of time together and ultimately let the couple decide if they want to tie the knot. The result is that it's not just two people in love spending their lives together, but two families who get along and enjoy spending time with each other. Now with muslims, it's different. They are not allowed to date.
I like that things are changing. It's so different from how my friends or their parents grew up. I like the Hindu approach to marriage. The families have to get along because they're becoming a larger family. It's about both families being compatible. Thank you for explaining things to me.

yes, I agree. These crazy stans are completely brainwashed into worshipping their precious oppas to the extent that they ignore and try to justify problematic and unacceptable behaviour. I'd like to believe they are just a vocal minority because there are plenty of sane fans who enjoy the music and groups while retaining objectivity and not worshipping them like gods. I guess everything has the potential to brainwash and indoctrinate people, be it religion or popular culture.
Kpop reminds me of the youth movements that took over children's minds in the late 1800-1940s. Those kids grew up and because of their childhood indoctrination went along with horrible things. The youth movements of the 60s went sideways too. Someone is trying to harness the youth again but why? What do they want? We know what's behind the music and companies and it's about more than the money.

Yeah the families may be against it but that does not mean they are not doing it is what i was actually trying try to say. Getting honor killed or married off to an old man after getting caught is not the norm though. Honor culture is cancer and has more to do with stupid cultural beliefs rather than religion. Like dating is a sin but killing someone is not?! Same goes for female genital mutilation of breast ironing which happens in both Christian and Muslim African countries.

I encountered some of the Karens lol. Karens with grandchildren posting under every picture about how they wanted to suck their cocks and bullying anyone being even slightly critical.
Ewwww someone get Grandma. That's disgusting. I refuse to believe that's not staff. Have seen people promote incest fanfic and were moms. A lot of people have two accounts. One sfw and the other with incest cow porn.

This! I never understood it. We have toxic religions here, but it's in out of the way places and rural areas. Girls were pushed into marrying 80-90 year old fundamentalist men at 12-13. It took a lot of years before anyone tried to stop it. The groups controlled the local economy, government and victims were too scared to speak. There's states with legalized child marriage. We have a lot of skeletons in our closets and fundamentalists want to return to those times.

Tae's in any man's arms who has some money. His sexuality is moneysexual. Willing to pay? He will be sexual. I got into shipping taek00k and look back with embarrassment. They barely talk and videos are manipulated to look like more is happening. It's fake. Army could have boyfriends or girlfriends, friends, careers etc and spend time going over videos looking for proof.

Why is it that I can't relate with any of Bangtan's songs solo or group? does anyone else have the same problem?? like with JH's latest release it's not a tween pop anthem like dyna or Ptd but I can't with the lyrics it's so cringeee I thought when he said he will touch on darker themes in his album he would release more heartfelt personal songs but here JH is back with their "I am so rich I got 13384505 trophies but I don't care I am all art" it sounds so pretentious
it's because there is nothing authentic about their music IMO

they just do whatever concept the company tells them

now this Hope song, just feels like a different idol, feels like some type of Gdragon copy to me, trying to do the "alternative" sound

so suddenly he changed his whole style, or whas this him since the beggining?
it's really hard to know who they are as artists. it all feels forced with them
