Shariah gives the example of a good Muslim walking by a house and upon hearing music or smelling wine, to enter and rebuke the offenders and if that doesn’t yield compliance, to break the offending instrument or upturn the wine container. Is this a misinterpretation or a representation?
Nope. That’s not correct. You have to be able to get past a certain hate preachers tropes to understand that.

Is this not a popular book in Islamic theological circles? Section Q deals with the outworking of “commanding the right, forbidding the wrong” btw.

O you who have believed, do not enter houses other than your own houses until you ascertain welcome and greet their inhabitants. That is best for you; perhaps you will be reminded. (24:27 Quran)
Q 3 104

ABUL ALA MAUDUDI

And from among you there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong. It is they who will attain true success.

Your thread is dead mate. But you carry on.
Its got over 3K views and 3 pages of info exposing that propaganda pipline which openly pushes for Muslim deaths and oppression across the world... but of course, you and the rest of your coward clique aint there. "Hey, there are Christians here to argue with and actual Muslims to attack! Plus, cant take time away from my dedicated effort to promote an agenda of child sex-trafficking, r*pe and murder. based on theological lies... priorities!"

Omar was among the most feared men of his day and I think this incident even happened when he was Caliph... he went into someones house uninvited, found wine and confronted the man. Instead of being afraid, the man called out Omar for his violation of the mans private quarters and sent him on his way. later when they met again, Omar apologized and assured the man that he never breathed a word of the alcohol to anyone. The man forgave Omar and said he never had a drink after that day.

Perhaps you might give me a less opaque answer @TempestOfTempo

It seems to me that there is a spectrum of Islamic practice out there and obviously as a non-Muslim, the “normal” or right-thinking Islam is not something I would necessarily recognise. In your experience, how does “commanding the right, forbidding the wrong” work out where you live and worldwide (in Muslim majority countries?)

P.s. given that some of Islam’s most oppressive and [apparently] unjustifiable* rules flow from the Hadith, I think your perspective on the subject would be an interesting one.

(sigh).. So is it a good thing to break into a mans house Red? If i broke into your house tonight without permission, would i be inviting to good?
Would i be enjoining good if i broke into YOUR house?

I mean you're getting desperate at this point. The Almighty said you must knock and i have already sourced it. ie it is Shariah to KNOCK.

Because what is shariah? It is Gods law, it is what God has sent down.

First i laughed at this.. Looking at and knowing Christianity.

Tell us Red, can you get more oppressive then murdering your own wife if she is a none Christian?

You want to talk about oppression? Have you heard of the Spanish inquisition? How about the Salem witch trials? Would you like more examples? People were literally burned at the stake for mere assumptions and you say Islam is oppressive?

Far as your asterisk goes it is simple. Dogs are not a clean animal. If you have a dog, at least once you have seen him dragging his rear across the carpet to scratch himself. What he's actually doing is spreading feces.

Muslims pray face to ground. You know, just like Jesus did. Had you prayed like Jesus did you'd probably take up issue as well.

When i was a new Muslim over a decade ago i remember praying in my moms house. She had a dog and i didn't have much knowledge back then, but i remember when i went into prostration the carpet reaked of urine. Now the carpet looked clean but filth was embedded into the padding.
Much like yours i assume. If not you can be sure its coming, specially if your dog reaches old age.

EDIT : Btw your link is specifically talking about black dogs. Djinn like to appear as black dogs and black snakes. So precautions should be taken if one comes across one.

All the same a dog is not allowed in the house. But a Muslim can keep a dog outside for hunting, protection and so on.

Black dogs, snakes, birds and etc. are not considered evil and to assign them as omens is considered superstition and outside of Islam. They are as they were created, and there is nothing related to their color which indicates evil.

To my understanding, the first rule of "commanding the right and forbidding the wrong" is like the main rule of Jihad... its for ourselves and our own personal struggle first. Before it gets applied anywhere else, it should be applied to ourselves as individuals... self governance. But as we see, many wish to excuse their own behavior while pointing their fingers in other directions... which, to a degree, is a natural human trait. But true "enjoin the right and reject the wrong" starts at home, in the self, before we are to attempt exporting such judgements and confrontations. I can elaborate on more speficic avenues of the topic if you want deeper dialog regarding it :)

So the religion you follow doesn’t teach you to command the right and forbid the evil? What kind of sellout libtard bullshit are you professing to? I’m starting to think the Jesus you claim to follow wears rainbow vests and makeup - that ain’t the Jesus of the Quran. That’s some imposter you claim is Jesus. Time to put this thread back on track.

I guess your own personal imposter Jesus went around spewing profanity in public, constantly remarking about homosexual activity and making fun of retarded people eh?

You’re probably right! Lol
You dont even care that you spew vile bile all ove the internet and even children can read it. Especially on a site where people come for answers. But then again, you promote grown men "marrying" and having sex with 6-9 year old girls so nobody can expect anything moral or decent from you.

I don’t care what you think because you have never once actually tried to understand my posts in that thread of yours. You created straw man after straw man, proving to me and anyone with good sense that you was a disingenuous twat.

As for the web and kids accessing this forum, you naive sonofabitch, they can access pornhub and you’re worried about some forum posts on a freaking conspiracy site? Grow up you muppet!

And you will go straight from this filth to moralizing somewhere else on this site. You have no credibility outside of your pedo-agenda clique.

I find it interesting that without verifiable historical proof that Jesus lived a believer is forced to rely on their faith and intuition. Believer and non-believer diverge immediately. One could say God made it this way to test the faithful. Historical evidence is clearly less important than the power of faith and its role in our lives.
