I have been on this forum for a number of years and have participated in various threads discussing whether or not God is Unitarian or a Trinity. This thread is not intended to duplicate those discussions but to explore the question:-

IF the Trinity is true, WHY does it matter?

In one of the most profound talks I have listened to on the subject, Carl Gallups makes a compelling case for the Trinity from both Old and New Testaments then gets into the question WHY?

The concept of Trinity as the 3 archetypal Things can be found all over the world. The One, some call God, The Tao, Brahmin, Buddhafield, etc. Next, the 2 Things, is usually Duality. The 3 Things are a variety. The Hindu trinity is Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. They stand for Creator, Sustainer(equilibrium or balance), and Destroyer(entropy). The occult trinity is often described as Wisdom, Love, and Will.

...matter?
"In classical physics and general chemistry, matter is any substance that has mass and takes up space by having volume. All everyday objects that can be touched are ultimately composed of atoms, which are made up of interacting subatomic particles, and in everyday as well as scientific usage, "matter" generally includes atoms and anything made up of them, and any particles (or combination of particles) that act as if they have both rest mass and volume."
