There is so much talked about on the subject of Israel on these forums that I felt it might be worth creating a thread that addresses some of the topics directly.
Of course, many will simply ignore the following and proceed to highlight various moral failures of the modern Jewish state. There are certainly plenty of threads here for those interested in that line of thought.
What I think is lacking is to set out with some clarity a Biblical view of where (if anywhere) Israel fits into God’s plans for the world.
The first thing to state is that Dual Covenant Theology is not Biblical. There is no hint in the New Testament that Jews are OK with God just through keeping the Law and following the teachings of the Rabbis.
Edit: The above is actually quite relevant to the various forms of pseudo-Christian legalism that are being popularised recently.
