Even maths professors have guessed wrongly, so let's see if VC members can get it right..

WIKI- "Suppose you're on a game show, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a car prize; behind the others, goats.
You pick a door, say No. 1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say No. 3, which has a goat.
He then says to you, "Do you want to pick door No. 2?"

Is it to your advantage to stick with your original choice of door 1,or switch your choice to door 2, yes or no?

Re the '3 Doors question' most people (including me and even maths professors) used to say "There's a 50-50 chance that the car prize is behind either door 1 or 2", but amazingly they're WRONG because there IS an advantage of switching your original choice to the other door !
It's all to do with mathematical probability, but even after the answer was explained, I still can't understand the maths behind it..
