Hi I am wondering if anyone
might be able to help with an issue
I seemed to have ran into
I'm in Ontario,Canada as many know
I am part of a lawsuit right now
which is asking for medical records
that I am being told have been destroyed as is the policy

when I was younger much much younger
My dr had passed away
I got a new dr
silly me I assumed my new dr would
get all of my medical records
cause now he is my dr right
however I got informed that no he does not
that when a dr dies those records go to Toronto
to then get ahold of the Toronto place
I was told to
to be told then that sorry after 10 yr those records get destroyed
that to their knowledge there is no where else they would go

this would mean that my entire medical history
from my birth to the birth of all my children to the last visit
to the now deceased dr
is just gone
this does not make any sense to
why would they destroy the records
if the person of the records is still alive
Mind this without any sort of notification of them
going to Toronto or of the fact that they are now
going to be destroyed for being there to long
despite my information of contact has been the same for the last 30+ yrs

Now of course the pharmacies used
are gone so no records there
hospital only 2 yrs past for their record department no help there

I just was hoping maybe someone here
may have an idea or option for in
Ontario,Canada I haven't tried yet
Any ideas help of course is always greatly appreciated
I've exhausted all that anyone around me can think of
Thank You

I am not sure how Canadian health care works. Does medical system keep a list of all the procedures you have done? They should have copies. Also, many of the records could be available online.

I googled these places in Canada for you:
I hope they can help you!

Like Sibi said, they should have copies. Call whichever and try to get answers. Be as thorough with your situation as possible. Something has to give
