I understand your plight as an independent blogger and feel that the creation of the Den is for comments that likely riled others at said time. I am not in main line news, but deal with media and have sources who shared much with me around that time. There was an effort to trap and shut down sites. In fact, the same time the forum went down, blowhard Alex Jones removed similar videos relating to PG. Then Milo Y suddenly said his lawyer and DC types encouraged him not to speak of it, which he didn't.after he promised to address the issue. At this time, the former White House types were still in charge Now they are losing a little bit of that power to intimidate.
Still, there is a war raging. SNL went after the aforementioned Jones this past weekend. And there is the big hullabaloo in DC over Trump buying into conspiracies. Add to this that the intimidators are lawyered up to the max and portected by those who want to be protected and there is indeed a forced adherence to avoid telling it like it is.
Site owners have to do what is best for the greater good and those choices are never perfect or easy. It freaked me out when the forums went down in that there was a revealing discussion on the board about the controversial subject matter. It was so easy to see possible false flags and such, but to say so would be spinned as adhering to violence with concern to the guy who went to the P-Joint. They would suddenly brand you as inciting trouble which is hardly the case or intent. Thus, they can attack free speech and squelch many. Nobody suggests anyone take action on their own past exposure but there is always the lunatic fringe that will mess an awakening up.
Anyhow, enough blather on my part, but I personally think VC did what he had to do as did many others that could have lawyered up. Some battles are simply suicidal in nature and it's best to try and navigate around those sneaky traps.
