There is a difference between man and God.

And that's probably why there is no consensus about Jesus chronology... since it is highly significant.

How long was Jesus ministry ?



Luke 13 6Then Jesus told this parable: “A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. 7So he said to the keeper of the vineyard, ‘Look, for the past three years I have come to search for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Therefore cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’

8‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone again this year, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 9If it bears fruit next year, fine. But if not, you can cut it down.’ ”



Jesus ministry was (3 +1) years.



So when His ministry began on Passover after the wedding at Cana... then it ended 4 years later on Passover.



Now count inclusively ! as that's how they counted before the english custom of exclusive counting.

So when english speaking peeps start with 0 when counting... back then in Greece Rome Judea and more they began with 1.

Therefore the 1st Passover in Jesus ministry is counted as 1 and the 2nd Passover as 2 and the 3rd Passover as 3 and the 4th Passover as 4.

4 years inclusive counting... but 3 years exclusive counting !


So for example when Jesus said 3 days and 3 nights... english peeps exclusively start counting from 0 ! when Jesus actually as per custom counted from 1.

Jesus was baptised when He was about 30 years old in the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar.


Tiberius Caesar began to reign from 17 sept 14 AD.... and so his 15th year was 28/29 AD.

Therefore Jesus was baptised in either 28 or 29 AD.

The 4th year of the 202nd Olympiad began in midsummer 32 AD and lasted to midsummer 33 AD.

One day in that year between midsummer 32 AD and midsummer 33 AD... the day became night and accompanied by a great earthquake.


When we know Jesus was crucified on Passover (which always is on the day before a full moon) then this was not a solar eclipse accompanied by a great earthquake... but the day Passover and year 33 AD when the Son of God was crucified for our crimes.

He had come looking for fruit on Passover week 30 AD and 31 AD and 32 AD... and gave it one more year before He cursed it on Passover week 33 AD.


Therefore Jesus was baptised in summer/autumn 29 AD.

If the priestly divisions have been tracked as this wiki suggests.. then it's just a matter of counting (n x 24 weeks) backwards from the most recent 8th course of Abijah which began on sabbath 14 may 2022... to find out when Zechariah served in the Temple and talked with Gabriel.

And the 8th course of Abijah which began on sabbath 6 july 3 BC (which would place the birth of John around april 2 BC and the birth of Jesus 6 months later around oct 2 BC.)




So which is it ? Was Jesus born in may or oct 2 BC ?
