I feel like we need a place where we can talk more feely and open about BTS without being attacked for being a fan like that is a bad thing or accused of being a morally reprehensibly human being because of a disagreement. We do not need to agree about everything, but we do need to keep the tone polite.

Here it is ok to be a fan, but if you are a hater then please stay away. There is already a thread for that.

Because the other thread has been there for such a long time it has pretty much been around everything, so this thread will instead be about what we see today.

There is a comeback right around the corner so I am sure there will be a lot to talk about soon, and a lot of new material we can analyze.

From what we know so far is that BTS will collaborate with Snoop Dogg and possible Nicki Minaj (we will know more next week about Nicki)

Wil BTS enlist, or will they get an exemption?

There is a lot of anger in South Korea because of how bad Hybe has handled this situation. They brought almost 100 reporters to Las Vegas because they wanted to show how BTS had taken over the city. It was meant to be a great pr-stunt, but it ended very badly. First the reporters were not picked up at the airport, which made them angry, and then it was not in the program that they could get to talk with BTS, which made them even angrier. And the food was apparently bad too.

Then Hybe said this at the press conference:

“We hope that the debate over BTS’ military service obligations can be settled at the upcoming National Assembly session. The members are having a hard time. The agency wants to see how far BTS can grow as artists and be with them until the end. We anticipate that BTS and the company can improve much more, both musically and in terms of our influence.”

And then all hell broke loose. The reporters were now so angry that Hybe felt they had to get BTS out to talk to them. So, without preparation they threw BTS for the wolves to fend for themselves. BTS had a concert that day and were actually preparing for that when they suddenly had to talk with the very pissed of reporters.

As you can see there is no chairs for them, and they look both lost and angry.

It was a real shitshow. Of course, most of the reporting afterwards were extremely negative.

We will know this month if BTS will be given an exemption or not.

Yoon Suk-Yeol is the new president-elect of South Korea, and he is quite a colorful character.

It was he who took down the former president Park Geun-Hye for corruption. Park Geun-Hye was in power when the Sewol tragedy happened, and it was her that tried to stop the investigation about the disaster and made it even more difficult for the parents to the children that died.

Now the new president has decided that she should be forgiven and that he will help her with restoring her image. He has also invited her to his inauguration. Park Geun-Hye was infamous for blacklisting artists and musicians when she was in power.

There were a lot of rumors that BTS would perform at Yoon Suk-Yeols inauguration, and it created an enormous backlash against the president and the inaugural committee. The reason for why this happened was because someone from the new president’s team visited Hybe just days after he was elected.

Shortly after that they came out and said this:

“There is no doubt that BTS is a cultural asset that Korea takes pride in. Therefore, it is true that the Presidential Inaugural Committee reviewed various proposals including incorporating BTS’s performance at the presidential inauguration event, which is the most honorable and meaningful event carried out by ordinance.”

He went on to say that they in the end chose someone else less famous because the president felt that suited the event better. And that BTS had been too expensive.

By putting focus on the fact that BTS wanted a lot of money to perform at the inauguration painted BTS in an ugly light and made them look really bad, which obviously was the intention.

He then ends with this:

“I hope that there will come an opportunity for BTS to perform next time at a national event that appropriately matches the group’s prestige and fame.”

This means that they are not done with BTS quite yet.

There has now been put pressure on Hybe and BTS to cooperate in the future.

We have a new music video on the way. It is the first time BTS works with Universal so it will be interesting to see how much this could affect the outcome.

Universal is usually good at getting radio play and playlisting, so it could be a good thing for BTS that they work with Universal this time around instead of Columbia, who never was good at that.

As the BBMAs are on a Sunday people are speculating that we could get the single on may 13th.

So, MK Ultra began as an experimental project back in 1953. The program was to be used in interrogations. With the use of drugs like LSD, electroshocks, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, isolation, and sexual abuse they wanted to weaken and manipulate the human mind, and in that way get the victim to talk. It was a kind of brainwashing and psychological torture.

Before MK Ultra CIA had two other drug-related experiments: Project Bluebird and Project Artichoke.

The Bluebird is something you often will see as a tattoo on celebrities or in photoshoots, music videos and so on. It is a popular symbol in the same way as the monarch butterfly is.

Harry Styles has both the bluebird and the butterfly. He got them pretty early on in his career and I have no idea why I know this.



CIA tried to destroy all documents on MK Ultra when Watergate happened, but somehow 20.000 documents survived as they had ben stored incorrectly in a financial record building.

This mistake could very well be the only reason to why we know about MK Ultra today.

MK Ultra was headed by Sidney Gottlib, and he himself said in later interviews, that he could not remember much about the program. But he did also say when he retired in 1972, that the MK Ultra program had been useless.

Today CIA insists that they are no longer doing any kind of MK Ultra-type experiments.

From the video recordings of the experiments that have been shared on the net we can see how the victims were so out of it that they didn’t know what was happening to them, they could not talk, and they could barely walk. Unfortunately, these videos have disappeared now, and I can’t seem to find them. But it was some horrifying stuff to look at. These poor people were not functional at all.

Therefore, we must conclude, that if MK Ultra are being used today it must have changed its form.

Now about the monarch program. It was started as a subproject in the early 1960s and can apparently be connected to operation Spellbinder, which was about creating sleeper assassins. A person could be activated by receiving some kind of keyword. The word would trigger a specific action.

This is why the key is another symbol you often will see with celebrities. They will either have them as tattoos or they will wear a key in a chain around their necks. The key basically means, that someone, a handler, owns the key to the celebrity’s mind.





The monarch butterfly too has a deeper meaning. When a person is undergoing trauma induced by electroshock, they will get a feeling of lightheadedness. It will feel like they are flying away, floating like a butterfly. The butterfly does also represent the transformation the person goes through. First the person is an ugly caterpillar but then becomes this beautiful butterfly. The trauma is not destroying you, but is instead making you into this better and more beautiful creature.

The entire idea about the monarch program is to create the foundation for dissociation. Some is born with the ability, and it has been discovered that it is possible to inherit it. But it can also be created even later on in life through trauma treatment though it is easiest to do if the person is young.

I will not go more into these programs as there is so much more to say.

Now for BTS. Could they have experienced any of this? We do not know, but what we do know is that they have a lot of symbols and imagery that could have something to do with the monarch program.




The butterfly card is from the music video Run.
They also wear a lot of clothes with butterflies on.



Then we have this Run BTS episode. Look at the wall behind them. Those butterflies pop up so often all kind of places, where you would not expect it.

But if they have been exposed to the monarch program these pictures would function as a trigger. Could be why they are everywhere.

And then there is Bangtan Universe, which revolves around the butterfly effect, and of course the song Butterfly.

We will see if there will be more butterfly imagery in their comeback.

Machine Gun Kelly is still trying to get BTS's attention.



Back in March he said he wanted BTS to sing at his and Megan Fox’s wedding. He said he knew all kinds of facts about them and liked them.

MGK has a lot of tattoos. Here are some of them.



MGK said this about it: “That’s an ode to the book, ‘1984’. It’s the idea that Big Brother is watching you, and down here you see all the people revolting against it. There are people here holding bats and all that s—. And I’m with the people. Keep your hands out of my pockets. I got this when I was 19.”



Diablo, one of the many names of the devil.



The lightning is another symbol of MK Ultra and the monarch program. The atom science symbol should apparently represent the free will. An interesting combination with the lightnings around it as the lightning symbol represent the opposite.

Oh wow so this story is going around the media today, the same day as Jimin’s new song comes out. This is really bad timing for him.

BTS Jimin‘s apartment was seized due to his delinquency of health insurance premiums

Bighit is saying that they are to blame for this, because of some mistakes they made, that resulted in Jimin never getting his mails. But the K-media are hungry for BTS scandals and are going amok over this.

One more thing to think about. This means that BTS’s personal mails go through Bighit. That is a lot of control to give over to the company.

So, about the color purple. It is quite a unique color for BTS to choose as theirs. I am trying to find my old sources but unfortunately a lot of them have disappeared.

This site explains the positive influence purple can have, and it is true. Purple can be a very strong and powerful color that can be used for a lot of good things.

Yes we are moving into what you could call witchcraft but it is also called esoteric knowledge. It is about spirituality and energy and how you can use the already existing energies around you and in the nature to effect yourself or others in a specific way.

It’s the world of “demons” and “angels” and magic but at the same time it is nothing like any of that. And it can be damn powerful if you believe in it.

The elite do believe in it and do make use of it. Aleister Crowley is an example of this. He was known for practicing magick and his belief systems have brought inspiration to a lot of influential figures.

His face can be seen on a lot of clothes that celebrities wear, and he is used by a lot of musicians in their work. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Nirvana to name a few.





Though Crowley can be perceived as evil his doctrines was actually taken from the Theravāda Buddhism, which is certainly not evil. But then he created The Book of the Law, which was given to him from an entity called Aiwass and that book became the foundation for the philosophical system Thelema. The reason why this man is so dangerous is less because of him and more because of how people have made use of him since his dead.

His magick was called occultic but you could have called it esoteric too. It is important to understand that magick or esoteric knowledge have two sides. It can be used for good, and it can be used for evil. But to find the balance between what is good and what is not is difficult because of what can happen when you start to open yourself up. And this is why purple is interesting.

So, let’s get back to purple.

Purple is actually the color that connects to our crown chakra and our third eye. It has the power to open up the gateway that enhances our spiritual abilities and the possibility to achieve enlightenment.

All of this can be good if you know about it, but if you don’t you could open up without having the mental defense mechanisms in place for it.

It does not just happen because you look at something purple for a while. But combine a powerful color with light, music, adrenalin, and already strong emotions and then I do think it could have a tiny effect.



But it will not necessarily be a negative effect as there is nothing bad in itself to open the third eye a little bit. It just makes you more receptive to the other world.

But then again, I would never want to open the third eye myself, so…yeah.

I have to add, that I do not think it possible to open the third eye much under a BTS concert because of how difficult and noticeable the experience is. People would freak out. But a little tiny bit? Absolutely.

So why did BTS chose the color purple? Was it really just a coincidence that Taehyung one day thought, hey purple is a pretty color so why not? The end of the rainbow and therefore eternal love and all that. Or could there have been another reason for it?

”Mirrors have always both fascinated and frightened humans. After all, if it could capture and reveal our likeness so well, what else could it reveal about ourselves, or the world around it? What other mystical powers could it have?”

Mirrors In Spiritual And Metaphysical Beliefs

Like with the butterfly the mirror is used a lot around BTS.











Mirrors have an important place in literature, art, and psychology. And it is connected as a symbol to mind control programming, where it is considered to be a representation of the mind.

You can look into a mirror and see a reflection of the truth. The truth that is yourself and the truth of your surroundings. You think that what you are seeing is the reality, because otherwise you would not be able to see it.

But In psychology that is not the case. What you see is not the reality but instead a part of your own conscious. You are not only looking at an image of yourself, you are also looking at a part of your inner mind. And this inner mind is looking back out at you showing you what could be hidden inside of you.

In that way the mirror can be used as a symbol of the human mind. When you look into it, you are opening a portal into yourself, though what you see there is not necessarily the reality either. Almost the opposite, as this place is colored of what you want and what you do not want to be the reality.

Then we have the very famous phrase “through the looking glass” derived from the novel “Through the Looking-Glass, and what Alice Found There” by Lewis Carroll.



The novel was the sequel to “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and was published in 1871. This time Alice enters a fantasy world by going through a mirror. And what she finds there is that everything like with the reflection of a mirror is reversed. If you run you stand still, if you go toward something you get further away from it and so on. Logic is reversed.

The phrase “through the looking glass” symbolizes therefore a world that is difficult to understand, or a twilight zone were nothing makes sense.

The stories of Alice have been rumored to be used in mind control programming. Have someone received Alice in Wonderland programming images of white rabbits, caterpillars/butterflies, cats, playing cards, white and red roses, mirrors, chess pieces/chess boards, watches, doors/keys and so on would work as triggers to keep someone under the control of the program. Every time images of these symbols are seen by the person that is under one of these programs, the program is strengthened and reinforced.

Of all these symbols it could be argued that the mirror is the most important one, because of it symbolizing the human mind.

You could say that everything starts and ends with the mirror.

Then we have the more spiritual meaning behind the mirror. The mirror does not just reflect a reality, it also reflects and amplify light. It is therefore seen as a powerful object that can be used to find enlightenment in the same way the energy around the color purple can do it.



Some believe the mirror open a portal through time and can be used to change the way the reality is.

In Bangtan Universe we always see a mirror/glass breaking around Jin before he goes back in time. It is also often Jin that is pictured standing in front of a mirror. So, there is an obvious connection between Jin, who has the ability to go back in time, and the mirrors.



In this “MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E Teaser” we see a lot of mirrors again. First Jin sitting on a bed surrounded by mirrors, Jimin and Taehyung with broken mirrors and at last Jungkook walking by mirrors reflecting him again and again.

When we see several mirrors surrounding a person it usually means that we are seeing several of his personalities. No one is just one person but when it comes to the mind control programming it also means that we are seeing the different alters created by dissociation. This is the case with Jin and Jungkook in the video. We also have this picture of Jin from Black Swan music video.



Jimin and Taehyung are seen with broken mirrors which instead symbolizes that their minds are broken. This needs to happen so the new personalities can be created. Whoever they were they are no longer. You have to destroy the caterpillar to build up the butterfly.

We also see RM in the beginning standing in front of himself. This is also a kind of mirror symbolism, but it is interesting because it is happening outside of the mirror. He is looking at himself stretching his hand toward him. What is also worth to notice is that he stands in shadow while the other him stands in light. He is reaching out not just to himself but to a version of himself that maybe could have achieved enlightenment, or a version of himself that is better because he is no longer consumed of darkness. It also seems more real as it is not really a mirror reflection. They are both existing in the same world.

We also have this picture of Jin from Blood Sweat and Tears.



Here the mirror does not reflect the flower correctly, which indicate that the image in the mirror is not showing the real physical form of Jin and the real world around him. We have entered Jins mind, so when we see his face cracking it is only happening inside the mirror. It is only happening inside of him. It is his mind breaking and not his actual face.

The conclusion to all of this is that the mirror could be seen as a door to the human mind and as a creator of realities inside ourselves. Some conscious but most hidden away in our unconsciousness waiting for the day they can enter the world.

We see the red string bracelet and we all start to think about Kabbalah. How often have we seen celebrities walk around with a little red string around their wrist. It almost feels more common than not.

And then one day Taehyung suddenly shows up with a little red string around his wrist, and have since worn it almost constantly. Of course, the first thing we would think is that Taehyung now is into Kabbalah.



Now for why I do have my doubts about it being the kabbalah bracelet is because he wears it on the wrong wrist. The kabbalah bracelet should always be worn on the left wrist as this is the receiving side of the spiritual body.

It is also a little bit difficult to believe that anyone in BTS could be Jewish. Kabbalah is not just an esoteric cult; it is a part of Jewish tradition. The word Kabbalah itself mean tradition.

The belief is that to be able to truly understand the Torah you need to also understand the hidden secrets of it. And that those secrets cannot just simply be read in the Torah or in the Talmud. You need Kabbalah if you truly want to learn the secrets of the Torah.

Kabbalah has therefore often been referred to as the soul of the Torah. It is all about seeing the essence of God. To learn how he interacts with the world, and what the purpose of Creation was? It includes ontology, cosmogony, and cosmology.

Kabbalah wants to offer us the structures of the universe and an understanding of the deeper meaning behind why we are alive.

A great part of Kabbalah is esoteric. It is trying to figure out the “anatomy” of the divine reality. Therefore, it wants to examine how different worlds or planes of reality interact with each other. How to find them and how to identify them.

They call it sefirot, but most knows it as “The Tree of Life”.





Sefirot means emanations and as we can see from the picture there are 10 emanations in Kabbalah.

Through the emanations “The Infinite” called Ein Sof (The form of God before he became God of humans) reveals itself and continuously creates the physical realm and the chain of higher metaphysical realms.

What is important to point out is that the way the emanations evolve from one another and effect each other takes place inside a hierarchy. The process of divine energy or light devolves from the higher spiritual planes to the lower ones, where it at last manifest in our physical plane of existence.

So that means that sefirot is a way for us to see and understand how our reality is being created. Every plane or emanation has its own role to play in forming reality.

The practical part of Kabbalah is where it gets interesting, and I will not say that much about it, as I do not know much.

The practical part is aimed at altering natural states or events. It uses meditation, incantations of divine names, and inscriptions of such names on amulets. It has been said that they can create golems (humanoids) and other kinds of creatures. In our ears this will sound farfetched.

Practitioners of Kabbalah have themselves admitted, that the teachings of Kabbalah have been misused by people that doesn’t do Gods work but that of evil.

When it comes to BTS they do use the tree of life symbolism. But that could be connected to so much else than the kabbalah tree. It could be the tree of knowledge or the tree of life in Norse mythology Yggdrasil for example.


This place is like paradise or nirvana and look how prominent the purple is.



Then we have this one from Spring Day music video.


And a live performance with a tree right in the center.

As we have seen quite a bit of apples in BTS’s music videos and photoshoots it would make sense if the tree they refer to are that of knowledge from the Old Testament of the Bible. But who knows? One thing that gets obvious when you dig into stuff like this is how much everything overlaps with each other. There is a lot of trees in religions, mythologies, and legends.




They have apples on their plates.

Now I will try to get back to the red string for a little bit before I ends this post.

The red string bracelet have been used in several countries and by several cultures and religions. To name a few: Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and in Chinese and Latin American cultures. So, it can be difficult to say, that the red string automatically implies a connection to Kabbalah.

The thing that goes again in all these religions and cultures is that the red string is meant to protect you against evil, the evil eye among them.

(In Asia the red string can also mean the string of faith and is meant to lead us to the person we are to get married with – to the right person. But that’s another story.)

What is meant by the evil eye is, that a person can be hit with an angry glare from another person. They are sending you the evil eye. And it was believed that if someone was sending you the evil eye, they could with it send you a curse, that later on could give you great misfortune in life. It was better to protect oneself against something like that happening then risk it happening one day without even knowing about it.

The evil eye can be tracked back to 1250BC and pops up in different civilizations and religions throughout time up to this day and age.

We often connect the evil/single eye to illuminati and freemasons, but it has been used by so many throughout time that it would be strange to not find examples of it on all kinds of things.

The way you could protect yourself against the evil eye, beside wearing the red string bracelet, was to wear an amulet with a single eye on, usually a blue eye. An amulet could be a neckless, a bracelet, a ring and so on.



So, if someone is wearing an eye on them, it does not necessarily mean that they belong to illuminati or the freemasons. They could just be trying to protect themselves against the evil eye.

But what does it mean when we see the single eye symbolic pop up in music video after music video after music video and photoshoot after photoshoot after photoshoot? Are all these musicians and celebrities trying to protect themselves against the evil eye too?

Or can the single eye mean something entirely else as well? Then what does it mean?

I think the eye of Horus, or the eye of providence can wait for another day.

BTS love bathtubs as much as everyone else.



If you have been following celebrity culture for some time you will probably have noticed how the bathtub shows up all the time. There are so many examples of celebrities in bathtubs, that it can almost keep up with the single eye.

Then we have those very strange and suspicious deaths that have happened in a bathtub with Whitney Houston and her daughter Bobbi Brown.

Normally the bathtub symbolizes renewal of the spirit and the cleansing of the body. It can differ a little bit from culture to culture and religion to religion but overall, the bathtub is a positive thing.

There are some who believe that the spiritual bath can cleanse the soul, clear the mind and heal the chakras. This is because of how water can remove destructive energy that have accumulated over time. There are ways to enhance the spiritual bath with rituals, oils, flowers, incantations and so on.

Water symbolizes purity, fertility, life, motion, renewal, and transformation.

Water has the power of transition. It can change its form. It is therefore also a symbol of metamorphosis and recycling.

Metamorphoses is what happens when the caterpillar turns into a butterfly. So, it can almost appear to be the same thing. You go into the water and comes out of it as a new person.

Normally this should be a good thing as water should have a positive effect on you, but when it comes to celebrities it is almost impossible to not think about this as another symbol for the creation of alters.

Taehyung and Jimin are the members, who are most closely associated with water in BTS. So lets start with Jimin.

First Jimin tries to drown himself in a bathtub in I Need You. In Run he is again in a bathtub and in the Japanese Run he is in a container drowning in water once more.





In Wings short film: Lie he is falling into a bathtub and there is a scene of him standing in the rain with raindrops going upwards instead of down. Then it ends with him standing in the sea inside either the setting sun or a red moon having become a part of the picture he is always looking at.



We also have this one from Lie.



The entire short film is about dissociation.

Notice the apple falling into the water, after which he takes a bite of it. The water here is not innocent and does not bring ham peace.

In Spring Day, it is Jimin we see near the sea, and in Serendipity there is a scene where we can see the sea in the background.

At last, we have Fake Love where Jimin is standing in what looks like a bathroom when water suddenly comes in and start filling up the room. On the wall we can also see the same picture he was looking at in Lie. It is difficult to see here.



It is obvious that Jimin has been connected to water since the beginning of Bangtan Universe. And the relationship he has with water is not pretty. The water does not help him or heal him. The water is wild and powerful and tries to kill him several times. He is fighting against it and is only just surviving.

It seems like he is fighting whatever is happening to him, but in the end, he loses the fight and must accept his situation. That is why he goes from fighting the water to just standing still doing nothing – even willingly taking a bite of the apple from the water. It is always Jimin, who takes a bite of the apple by the way.



In tarot card reading water is also seen as a power of healing and cleansing, and I will include it because of this strange picture of Taehyung with the Five Of Cups.



The suit of cups is associated with water, which is seen as fluid, powerful and formative. Again, it symbolizes cleansing, but it also symbolizes emotions and intuition. The heart is in control rather than the head. In playing cards the suit of cups corresponds to Hearts.

When you see the five of cups in the way Taehyung holds it (upright) it represents regret, failure, disappointment, and pessimism.

He is too focused on the difficult experiences and failures he has had in life that he is not cable of moving forward. He cannot see the opportunities he has, and is not able to get himself to safety.

From the Fake Love music video, it is Taehyung that stands in front of the wall with the words “safe me/Im fine”.



In the beginning of Run we see Taehyung fall into the water while the music from Butterfly plays in the background. Everything around him is dark and he is completely alone. Then we see him fight against the water trying to not drown. There is a light in the water surrounding him and for a short while he almost looks like he is at peace. But then his fight to survive continue and for a split second we also see him in the same bathtub Jimin was in several times. In the end he comes out of the water and everything around him is still completely dark and empty. The water had not changed anything for him. He is where he was when he started out.



What this could mean is a little bit difficult. If you look at it from a biblical perspective it could be because he has sinned so much, that not even the cleansing power of water could help him. He is a fallen soul, which could be connected to him playing the role of the devil later on.

The water was maybe not intended to showcase the creation of alters in his case, but to show how he is so consumed of darkness that there is no way for him to be saved. Even if that is what he hopes for the most, the help will never come to him. Though the music from Butterfly and the word butterfly being said right before he falls into the water does make it look a bit suspicious. Maybe these scenes from Run symbolize him losing his mind further into the hopelessness and into the programming. He was already lost when he started out and therefore the situation did not change much for him.

Could Taehyung have underwent programming before he became a part of BTS?

One more thing I will look into later is rain and umbrellas. There is a connection between bathtubs, water and rain with BTS. But this post is getting too long, so I will have to stop here.

So, what is the more occultic or esoteric side of the bathtub, water, and rain? This will probably be more difficult to believe in, but it is interesting, nonetheless.

I need to add that the sources are also a bit muddy. You can’t really find anything about this in Wikipedia or other recognized lexicons and books. It is pretty much just theories on the net. A true conspiracy theory.

But here we go.

Rain is first and foremost the symbol of Rain Man, and the name Rain Man is one of the many names of the devil. Though for some the devil is just another demon or another entity, and so Rain Man could also simply be an entity from the other world. Just a very powerful one.

Because of his name the umbrella is also one of his symbols. So, if a musician wants to show their devotion to him or pay him honor, they can do so by using umbrellas in their work or in a live performance. This is why musicians sometimes incorporate umbrellas into a song that have nothing to do with rain when they perform live. It is a way to show the world who they believe in and who they follow.

The first times we heard about the name Rain Man were when both Jay-Z and Eminem started to talk about him and to pay honor to him in their music.

We have this famous quote from Eminem.



And then I found this YouTube, which can give us a definition on who Rain Man is. I am not saying that everything in the video is true, but it does show a little bit how Jay-Z and Eminiem makes use of Rain Man in their music.

Another thing about Eminem, that is worth to point out is that we have evidence of him being a victim of mind control programming. He had this glitch in an interview back in 2013.

Jay-Z made Umbrella to Rihanna in 2007 and namechecked Rain Man in the lyric. In the music video Rihanna dances around with an umbrella most of the time, and then she has this scene.



I think it is pretty obvious, what this look like.

When I started to dig into BTS and their use of rain in their music I found a lot. They have three songs about the subject. Rain from 2014, Umbrella, a cover song between RM and Yuiko from 2016, and Forever Rain by RM in 2018.

The last one is interesting as the music video has a lot of symbolic imagery. It is overall a song about sadness and how rain can make the sadness easier to deal with for RM. The rain can cry his tears for him, and the umbrellas can make him invisible, which he likes. Everything goes more slowly when it rains so he can at last express his emotions for himself and be allowed to have them. In that way the Rain is like a true friend to him because it allows him to be sad and somber.

But there is so much more in this music video. Notice how he walks on a black line throughout the video, while everyone else walk or hovering over a white surface. The path he has chosen is dark. Under the umbrellas we do not really see humans but more like deformities. Humans that have lost their humanity maybe. And the second head has only one eye.



It could mean that the people around him are someone he would never go to for help because they have all become like monsters.

Then we see a strange teardrop dissolving right before a mirror or glass breaks. There is a fast change of images. The teardrop becomes breaking glass, which becomes a strange black ball, which then turns into a black circle that swallow him up. He is now surrounded by darkness.

When he stops up, he multiplies into five persons. He looks down at his reflection in the darkness (mirror symbolism) and it shows not just one reflection of him, but six more reflections.



When he walks on, he goes toward a black circle hanging in the distance looking like a black hole. The future he is going toward is bleak.



We see a white bird flying for a short while, but then it starts to break and dissolve, which could symbolize his hope disappearing.

At one point he sings about how he cannot live because he cannot die. That he is chained to something that makes it impossible for him to die. He is caught by something and cannot get away from it. The ending is very strange, and I can’t really understand it, so I will not even try.

But it is a very sad song no matter what perspective is used for the analysis. The song is simply depressing.

Now back to Rain Man and why I believe BTS uses the rain to symbolize Rain Man himself. It is mainly because of these two scenes. The first one is from Epiphany and the second one is from Lie.





In both scenes the rain is heavy and falls from the sky, but then it suddenly starts to reverse. The rain starts to move up toward the sky instead.

If you know about the devil, then you will know that the devil always shows himself in reverse. That is why the satanic pentagram is turned upside-down. And that is why the cross will turn itself upside-down in the presence of the devil. So, the rain moving toward the sky is an obvious symbol of the devil himself. To the Rain Man.

Then what does it mean when someone stands in the middle of the reversed rain? Maybe it could symbolize a willingness to surrender to him. To let him in.

It is said that water can be used to transfer energies from specific entities. That is why the spiritual bath can be used in rituals to channel entities directly into the human body.

If we forget about the mind control programming for a little while and look at the bathtub, the water, and the rain from strictly an esoteric perspective, then it suddenly is much more about willingness to invite entities into the body. To give oneself over to possessions.

Possessions are believed to be the only way these beings can enter our world. It is therefore the only way they can get any power in our world and over us. It always needs to happen willingly as an entity cannot possess someone who do not want it. They are not that powerful, not even Rain Man. This is why the temptation comes before anything else.

We saw BTS accept the temptation in Blood, Sweat and Tears.



I will end with saying, that the use of rain does not automatically mean the involvement of Rain Man. Rain can be used for good too.
