If the people of France felt threatened enough, as with most populations, there likely wouldn't be an issue regarding recruits. Modern drafts seem like methods of force for military's gaining fodder to waste in conflicts unpopular enough for the people to be legitimately motivated towards action.

I don't know what to think. I only know that I was chatting about this yesterday and people agreed it's going to be a sign if the government does this. And today you posted about France.
