Sam smith is one of the few people in the industry that is talented and can actually sing. A good voice seems to be a dime a dozen for these people. He used to act and look decent and now he’s obese, oversexualized and gross. Like who find him attractive now? Def not other g@y men. It is mental illness or humiliation ritual? Probably both.

This question isn’t related to the main purpose behind your post, but which singers today do you think can’t sing very well? I think all singers in the music industry are all relatively good at singing.

Sounding good in studio with autotune and other tricks doesn’t equate good live singing. Most of today’s pop singers can’t sing this good live. List is long for e.g. Harry Styles, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, (she has other things going on but singing is very mediocre) and queen of mid Olivia Rodrigo.

They might not sound bad but they are not as good as Sam Smith. Sam Smith is not as good as Whitney Houston, Celine Dione or Mariah Carey at her prime. There are levels to singing. Taylor Swift works with she has and sings in tune, but is not a stand out vocalist.
