But can Israel completely defeat Hamas without a huge number of Palestinian civilian deaths and injuries? Of course not!
I would like it if Israel halted the war permanently for the sake of the Palestinian civilians. I doubt this action would end the hostilities between Hamas and the Israeli government. After all both sides want the other's country to cease to exist but that is impossible.
