Colicky infants are indeed difficult at times ... but there are ways to manage them and keep your own sanity. I know. I had a colicky child. Long before the there were any E A S Y ways of dealing with it ... like handing them a electronic device. Assuming that a child is indeed just colicky and not suffering from, say, some sort of neurological condition, or just a bad parent.

I was VERY resistant to giving her a tablet, as i've mentioned. I didnt want to be "that kind" of parent. But nothing worked. As she grew up and got the ability to play with toys she stopped requiring a tablet at all times. The closest i've heard this being described is that she hated being a baby.

People like to judge parents for giving their kids a tablet when many in my generation were raised by the tv. At least i control and censor whts on the tablet.

It's not my parenting. My other kids are not like that at all and i did nothing different. That's why i know there's such thing as "easy children".

What's a "bad parent"? If the charge is not being able to read a babies mind, then guilty. Otherwise, if my life revolves around my children how is that bad parenting?

honestly cant have hope for society with the way its been recently, its like every other person is a certified attention seeker, someone had to be loud, someone else has to be the class clown, someone else has to make unfunny comments, someone has to receive so many likes and subscribes, someone has to spend so much on whatever it is bc it makes them relevsnt, someone has to upload their personal stories online for sympathy votes, someone has to do stupid things then said stupid thigns get repeated throughout society for heoever long until the next stupid thing comes from the internet. stupid is as stupid does is literslly the only way to describe society. its like theres no break from it cause screens are everywhere if we go to work we still have to use phones to communicate with managers or other staff members, at home people are on their mini screens whilst theres a bigger screen on in the backgroundm every other thing on these screens is about clicking and reacting which has become mentally and emotionally draining plus its more or less of the samey shit that you see elsewhere on another website or device also people can be such dry texters unless its about themselves.

100% agree and the most frustrating part is not only do people assume they can be the main character in their mundane world but society has enbaled it done nothing about it, people keep doing stupid things especially online bc people know itll get them the attention they sought after and am not just talking about celebs but almost every other average jane or joe and their grannies now wants to have a name and character for themselves. sadly all most of them will be is irrelevant if they dont and its almost like people still cant stand being an individual so they form groups and cliques and do what they can to fit in bc if anyones stands out too much its still as taboo

i find as i get older i cannot relate to younger generations in a way i can in the sense that we are all online and using screens but i cannot physically or mentally relate to them in anyway and i dont have attachments to social groups outside of my relatives and parents just bc i have seen so much bs from others, i dont particularly fit in anywhere even if i try hard to fit in i just feel like im forcing it on myself and thats not who i am

there is already so many facades that people put on its quite scary how out of hand its become over recent years that its still no surprise when something big on the media occurs, like oh look another celeb passed away and oh yes someone else had a terrible upbringing, shit just doesnt surprise me anymore cause of how repetitive and mundane society has become so i dont get when something big does happen be it to entertainers or in a country, i dont get the internet having a meltdown about it? almost like people cant distinguish internet from their reality and someone elses reality is not their reality as is, yet so many people cause of youtube make somoene elses life about theirs as well its maddening or mental maybe even bordering on delulu

i was thinking this awhile ago that sometimes i miss the 90s and early 00s but it really was the forefront for what society has become today, screen addicts, drama addicts etc etc etc think about how we used to be able to concentrate back in the good ole days, sure things werent perfect but things used to at least be affordable and then you think back to present time and how utterly shite its really become. like everythings become a competition of who can be the loudest on videos, who can do or say the utmost retarded thing, who has most subscribers or likes or comments who can do something violent and get the internet to pity them who can get the most users to praise them for something minor or irrelevant

society has lost its plot, literally. even god dont try to save society anymore, it just going downhill in so many places for so many people hes like fuck it why bother? bahahahaha

tis the downfall of youtube. its frequently taking me 6/7 or more times to refresh a video and i still get this message popping up and its beyond frustrating. if they keep pushing it people will not put up with blocking the adblocker much longer. makes litening to music an awful experience cant watch a video twice in a row in case we have to watch an ad or have that annoying message pop up, cant use playlists anymore either. social media went downhill years ago but this is next level bullshit from youtube.

I had the same issue when I had to switch to this new computer ... I finally managed to get Firefox working with my usual ad blockers and these messages went away. I'm not sure if it was the browser settings, or the particular ad blockers, but I did get it working and not getting the nag messages.

Yeah, I was once sent by the jobcentre on a "Working Links" course for a few weeks, designed to help people get back into work.
They gave us a blank sheet of paper and told us to pretend we were writing for a job interview, then they'd go through it and offer us advice on whether we could improve our future real-life applications.
I wrote mine and handed it in, and I'd included in it-
"I'm a non-drinker, nonsmoker and a christian"
They went ballistic and ranted- "NO NO NO NO you can't say things like that in job application letters, cross it out !"
"You must be joking" I replied, "because surely any employer would be glad that I'd neve turn up drunk or take smoking breaks, and am a christian who'd enjoy helping him make his business a success"
But they wouldn't budge, so I tore it up and slung it in the waste paper bin and walked out..
