Ukraine can't possibly win because their army is much smaller than Russia's, so in a war of attrition Ukraine is going to run out of troops long before Russia does.
Putin seems to have now dug in to maintain control of the pro-Russian Donbas and the territories that link it to Crimea, so Zelensky's best strategy would be to stop sticking pins in the Russian bear and start talking peace terms.
