Who could profit from this disaster the most? China? Maybe. US? Not really or they would have taken it more seriously (or it's really backfiring...). But who has a lot to gain from all small shops closing? Who has a lot to gain from increasing cloud services? Amazon seems to be doing very well with it.. I wouldn't be surprised if they already have a cure but they're still waiting for the pandemic to get worse so they can sell it with more profit.

There is already an article and discussion about the total reported deaths being higher than they were by a significant amount than last year in this thread. New York is still 1700 deaths above the average from last year without including covid.

Yeah right, I said that first too. But if the western world can successfully use this to get out of their debt obligations to China then following the money completely changes. I’m not sure you heard but the economic fallout from this is already severely impacting China and I expect that to continue as we move manufacturing back home after this clusterfuck.

Your assuming the causalties in the West weren’t wanted. When you look at the demographics of who is being killed that becomes less believable.

Everyone I know in nyc was out walking in the fresh air this weekend. The state handed out masks to people that didn’t have them for free. They reopened the parks in many states for walking, jogging, biking, fishing etc.

There is enough to be upset about without exaggerating past reality.
