I just read the synopsis of that Webtoon and I feel like vomiting. I have been an Anime fan in the past and Anime is big on sexism but this Webtoon's plot is sexist even by Anime's standards. Sexism and misogyny in SK is on another level how are the fans responding to this?? are fangirls happy with him doing a drama with such a shitty plot??
From what I can see there has been no mention of the problems with this story. I even saw one fan defending the webtoon saying it's a cute story and not as bad as it sounds. Everyone I saw talking about it were just excited Cha Eunwoo was going to be in another drama. It's very disturbing. And don't get me started with female characters in anime lol. Japan has some serious issues! I saw this thread yesterday about how females are treated there and let's just say it made me feel physically ill.
There's misogyny and sexism everywhere and here in the states I've always hated how most female characters are written in movies and books. However, SK media is the most blatant I've seen with obvious hatred toward women. That webtoon should have never been made. No matter how cute they try to make the drama, it still boils down to a woman being a dog (not even seen as a human being) and needing to be saved by a man.

Wasn't he with jkay at a club in Itaewon and a part of the infamous 97 line group chat? I doubt they were discussing how nice the weather was in that group chat lol. Cha Eunwoo has a very boyish innocent look about him, but often the most innocent looking guys are the worst...they can get away with a lot more.
He's gotten exposed many times by his members for watching hentai, especially in public with others by him.

Most idols from 3rd and 4th went to elite schools with expensive tuition fees so they cannot be poor. Most 5m idols in particular came from rich or Middle class families. This is why there are so many Christians in 5M because Christians tend to be richer on average in South Korea. J0nghyun was a rare case only imo. M1nho was rich and K3y's family should at least be middle class because poor people do not have enough money to send their kids abroad and I just learned that 0new took music lessons from SM academy which is known to be very expensive so he cannot be poor either. T@emin can be poor because he didn't receive formal training in dance like most main dancers and he talked about feeling inferior to the other elite/rich looking kids at 5m when he went for auditions but he still went to a normal school and his family did have enough to pay for his piano lessons which is more than what a family living in real poverty can afford. KPOP fans really need to learn what real poverty is like before they go on and call every single idol who is not living in a mansion poor. Actually poor people cannot even afford 3 meals a day and some cannot pay for their children's basic education. This is true for every country regardless of whether you live in the US or a third world country. Britney Spears is a great example of a celebrity who came from an actually poor background. Her parents were in debt and she had to work since she was 6-7 years old to support the family. Poor girl had no choice she had to work otherwise her family would have starved to death. There are very few idols who became trainees because they wanted to support their families financially. Even among 2nd gen idols most of them auditioned because they wanted to pursue a career in entertainment.
How did you learn that Minh0 was rich? He carried himself like someone with money, the same with Jn. Look at his clothes, Taemin was poor. They fit him too high at the ankles but are baggy on his legs and waist. He dressed differently from the kids around him.

Many fans are out of touch with reality. Poverty in my country means food assistance, waiting for hours on a line for food, going to soup kitchens. Clothing from used stores or handed down. Wearing the same clothes for years, not being able to afford a warm coat, living in subsidized housing or a homeless shelter. Parents can't afford school fees or buy supplies. The dorm we see is a set. I doubt anyone lived there.

Still remember that rude ass interview they did with that indian news channel...
Say anything else, but sm artists aren't as rude when they go overseas. I watched an interview of Kai in one of the eastern former Soviet union countries. He smiled and was happy the interviewer said a few words in Korean. The newer groups in hive are trained better and can pretend to be excited and happy. Btees members are a different breed.

The industry loves to expose him. Does he have a rumor about his attitude? I heard he was stuck up to staff and girls in parlors.
Oh really? I wouldn't be surprised. I've personally have only heard praises about him and no one is that perfect. I think some idols are just heavily protected. I always thought that about jn for example. Nothing was ever really exposed about him all these years.

Yes, I know how bad women are treated in Japan that's why I said that even by a Japanese Anime's standard the webtoon's plot is sexist. Both countries are the same in my opinion. The women in Korea are just more outspoken and support feminism while the women in Japan just stay silent. SK's current president won the elections BECAUSE he had promised to eliminate the gender equality ministry. The Korean men in their 20s and 30s all voted for him. Now imagine how many popular male idols could be among these who have voted for him??
Check this out D.O and Z1co are apparently friends. This guy Z1co is a misogynist who abused his girlfriend, watched r*** videos of women on JJY's golden phone and was recently caught in a rumor about his sexist attitude towards women yet more than half of the industry is friends with him. I swear I dropped ex0 because the boys in that group all have shady friends. Even Ka1 who is considered less sexist compared to the others has had
a scandal about him saying that women dancers are inferior to men dancers.

If he watches Hentai, he is not innocent. Many idols have been exposed for watching porn as trainees and being interested in kinky stuff but saying you watch it regularly even after you became an adult and to watch it in public is a huge red flag. 97-line group was rumored to be involved in nth room scandal and he has rumors about sponsors. I think the rumors could be true.

Sm's Kyuline was sent to India for a variety show they were all very nice and didn't act rude towards fans.

M1nho's father was a famous soccer player at least this is what I have heard about his past from Sh@wol spaces. T@emin said he had never eaten steak before joining SM. He did not receive any idol training before SM as well so ig he was poor by idol standards. Apparently one of his cousins is a police officer who made news for saving a girl idol from suicide. Her case is interesting please check it out the girl said she was severely bullied by her bandmates to the point she developed depression, insomnia and panic disorder. Her company and bandmates denied and filed a lawsuit against her. Initially people said she was lying, and her suicide attempt was fake because there was no need for her to make a YouTube video about it and also drop T@emin another famous idol's name, but she attempted suicide again after a few months because of her mental health issues. However, last year she won in the lawsuit filed against her by the company. The police admitted that she wasn't lying about bullying and another bandmate of hers also shared an audio confirming that the bullying was real.
Here are some articles discussing her case
Her allegations if all of them are true I wonder how bad the relationships are between trainees and same group members IRL. She said the company forced the members to act like best friends in front of camera which is something we have discussed about here in the past.

Rumors have been flying around about Hyb3 pays dispatch and other news agencies to cover up for their artist's scandals. JYP, SM and YG pay as well but their idols get exposed every now and then so ig the amount they pay is lesser than Hyb3 because even their most famous and respected idols like GD, Bo@, K@ngta and Yunh0 have been caught in scandals in the past.

The cleaner they look, often there's stuff about them. Some first and second gen idols had rumors and scandals but it's been scrubbed and newer fans will never know about it.

I will read this and post my thoughts. I've heard that bullying starts as a trainee. Foreign trainees get it worse. The Chinese members of ex0 were bullied as trainees and it got worse in the group.

Companies know about the bullying but don't care. There's favorites who are pushed and promoted more. Members resent each other and things aren't equal. The contracts and payments aren't equal either. Sometimes popular idols are paid more than their members.
